Subject Title : Digital Electronic (EED 2303) Credit Value : 3 Synopsis : This unit Digital circuits are the building blocks of computers and most electronic systems. This unit introduce binaryrepresentation and basic digital circuits. Subject Title : Basic Microprocessors (EED 2402) Credit Value : 2 Synopsis : This unit present a basic introduction to microcomputer structure and operation of the CPU, Memory System, Input-Output and Bus Systems). Students are introduced to software and the microcomputer program, the process used to develop an assembly language program, programming model and microprocessor interfacing. Subject Title : Automation System (EEM 2702) Credit Value : 2 Synopsis : In the first half of the unit, students will learn about pneumatic system. The topics covered are compressed air production, compressed air drying, distribution of compressed air and pneumatic working element and valve. This unit continues with electropneumatic system where student will be first introduced to the basic concepts of control engineering and differentiating characteristics of controls. Other topics that will be covered are fundamental of electropneumatic, electrical components, representation of motion sequences, types of electrical circuit and basic control in electropneumatic. The student also will be introduced into basic Hydraulic system and basic programming of Programmable Logic Controller Subject Title : Mathematics 2 (EMT 2003) Credit Value : 3 Synopsis : The objective of this unit is to develop a logical mathematical approach to the solution of technical problems through the study of basic mathematical principles. Topics include sequence and series, complex number, matrix and determinant, differentiation, integration, statistics and probability. Subject Title : Management 2 (UBM 2012) Credit Value : 2 Synopsis : It develops students’ knowledge of basic management concepts and principles associated with managing a business organization with coverage areas of business ownerships forms, human and resource management, marketing management and financial management. Subject Title : English and Communication Studies 2 (UEC 2022) Credit Value : 2 Synopsis : The aim of this unit is for students to enhance their language proficiency by using various methods at foundation level through an integrated approach of language skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. Subject Title : Institusi Islam & Cabaran Semasa (DUS 2142) Credit Value : 2 Synopsis : Subjek Pengajian Islam disediakan untuk melahirkan warganegara khususnya pelajar Islam yang faham tasawwur Islam sebagai satu cara hidup yang bersepadu dan seimbang serta mampu menyelesaikan sebarang masalah dan cabaran. Peringkat pengajian semester ini, pelajar akan belajar mengenai kekeluargaan dan kemasyarakatan, pendidikan, pemerintahan dan pentadbiran, perundangan, ekonomi dan kewangan Islam, Islam dan cabaran semasa serta pemikiran masa kini. |
